What to Expect for First Class

Book your class online and arrive about 10–15 minutes early so you can settle in without feeling rushed. Wear something you feel comfortable moving in; a matching set or an oversized tee, we truly don’t care. Grip socks are mandatory.

You’ll be greeted, shown around, and guided through anything you need to know before class starts. No wandering around awkwardly. No guessing. You’re taken care of from the second you walk through the door.

Your instructor will walk you through the reformer and explain how everything works before class begins. Our custom-built reformers are designed with extra length and width to support every body; so you can focus on moving, not adjusting.

Expect a guided, supportive experience from start to finish. Your instructor will demonstrate movements, offer hands-on guidance when needed, and give options throughout the class so you can move at your own pace. You don’t need to “keep up.” You just need to show up.

Good music. Calm confidence. Zero intimidation. You’ll feel challenged, but never overwhelmed. Supported, but never singled out.

You’ll walk out feeling stronger, more aligned, and probably wondering why you didn’t start sooner. And yes… a little sore the next day is completely normal (and kind of addictive).

We have a 12-hour cancellation policy for all classes. If you cancel at least 12 hours before your scheduled class, your class credit will be returned to your account. Cancellations made within 12 hours of class, or missed classes (no-shows), will result in the loss of your class credit. This policy helps us offer waitlisted clients the opportunity to attend and keeps our schedule running smoothly.

For the safety of our clients and to maintain the flow of class, late arrivals are not permitted. Our instructors begin each class with important equipment setup and movement cues to ensure everyone starts safely. We recommend arriving 5–8 minutes early so you have time to settle in and be ready when class begins. If you arrive after the scheduled start time, your class credit will be forfeited in accordance with our cancellation policy.

Society Pilates & Movement welcomes participants 16 years of age and older. Clients who are 16 or 17 years old are welcome to attend with a signed waiver completed by a parent or legal guardian before their first class. Participants under the age of 16 are not permitted to attend classes.
